The 6 characteristics of self-empowerment

In order to be able to say one is truly self-empowered you need to be able to tick 'yes' to the following. Read the list below and then take the quiz.

SELF-EXPRESSION: being able to communicate your needs and feelings clearly and easily without fear of what others will think, say or do.

SELF-CARE: being able to prioritize yourself and look after your emotional / physical needs without feeling guilty for putting yourself first.

ASSERTIVENESS AND HEALTHY BOUNDARIES: being able to stand up for yourself, say no and stop unfair or unacceptable treatment from others when they are overstepping your boundaries, manipulating or taking advantage of you.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE: knowing how to time-manage your life so that balance is maintained in order to prevent a build-up of stress and emotions which turn into unhappiness and symptoms of illness.

EMOTIONAL SELF-AWARENESS: being able to tell whether you are, or are not, meeting your own needs and living a balanced, healthy life.

SELF-APPRECIATION: being able to value, feel worthy and love yourself enough to do all of the above.
